Kasety magnetofonowe EMITAPE
Wpadły mi w ręce ciekawe kasety magnetofonowe EMI. Z nielicznych informacji w internecie dowiedziałem się, że produkowała je firma EMI Records w latach 1972-1982. Niektóre z nich (akurat to nie te, które posiadam) są poszukiwane przez kolekcjonerów, bo ich nakład był niewielki. Są to kasety Typu II (chromowe), które produkowano w latach 1981 i 1982.
Jedyne źródło informacji o kasetach Emitape, które znalazłem, to opis przy ogłoszeniu na angielskim gumtree. Dzisiaj strona ogłoszenia już nie istnieje. Nie znalazłem też w internecie trwalszej kopii, do której mógłbym stąd odesłać, dlatego poniżej wklejam fragment.
Emitape C90
By 2010, EMI was the fourth largest business group and record label conglomerate in the music industry, and was one of the big four record companies. Curiously, their time in the commercial tape market was a short-lived affair that only existed between 1972-1982, and during this period they only ever made a handful of Type 1 tapes (Normal) and a single Type 2 (Chrome) in 1981-1982, which is now among the rarest tapes in the world. They met with generally good reviews regarding performance, and yet were not made, and so, ever sold in any great numbers. It seems likely that the burgeoning foreign markets, and particularly Japan, deterred the management from doing an all-out assault on the promotions market and as a result, the sales never sustained the production costs. Emitape stopped manufacturing cassettes in 1983. For the above reasons, EMI UK tapes are now at best, scarce, while the greater majority are collectors items. They were, for a time, shipped to the Continent, such as Germany, where they sometimes surface, but are, with very few exceptions, expensive.
W dalszej treści była lista wyprodukowanych przez EMI kaset. Moja X1000 C60 nie została tam wymieniona. Wspomniano tylko o X1000 C90, która podobno jest bardzo rzadka.
Emitape X1000 C60
Spróbowałem nagrać te kasety na porządnym magnetofonie z porządnego źródła. Okazało się, że niebieska C60 ma nadal doskonałe parametry i jakość odtwarzanego dźwięku jest bardzo dobra. Niestety X1000 już nie. Została wytarta do końca i nie ma sensu dalej jej eksploatować.
